Job Title: Food Service Cook

Job Description:

This employee is required to work as a team with kitchen staff to prepare meals daily for students and staff.

Duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

1. Prepares and serves nutritional menus according to state standards.

2. Maintains a clean and health work area.

3. Assists with kitchen and cafeteria area cleaning.

4. Has a good attitude and comes to work ready to work.

5. Reports all safety and health problems to director.

6. Follow all requirements set forth by DESE and distrcit board policies.

7. Performing other duties as assigned by director, board of education, or administration.

Required Qualifications:

1. Positive Attitude

2. Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form.

3. Neat and clean in appearance.

Desired Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.

2. Be able to read and interpret recipes.

3. Interact positively with students and staff.

4. Ability to lift 50 pounds.

5. Experience preferred, but not necessary in quantity food preparation, food procurement, and food service automation systems.
